Mozart is probably the greatest genius in the history of western music, perhaps in the history of the world.  He began composing at the age of five.   By the time he was nine he was writing symphonies!  When he was six his sister and he toured Europe, playing for kings and queens.

Mozart was born in Austria in 1756.  He died at the age of 35 under strange circumstances and was buried in an unmarked grave.  He composed during the Classical period.



Another composer during this period was Ludwig van Beethoven.
